Timothy Kane

Tim was a U.S. Marine Corps pilot, decorated for service in the Dominican Republic and Viet Nam. Upon release from military service, he worked as a government contractor for USMC in aviation affairs. He was a Member of the Secretary of Defense’s Technology Board.  After completing law school, he entered private practice with emphasis in tax law, bankruptcy, and family law. For the last 30 years he has worked with at-risk youth and addicted adults. He and his wife, Carol, co-founded Oxford House, New Mexico; there are now 18 such houses in New Mexico, meeting the needs of people in recovery. He and Carol were members of the Governor’s Behavioral Health Planning Council. Tim understands that behavioral health issues are a major factor in convictions and is passionate about educating and reforming the criminal justice system.  BS Economics ’63, MBA ’74, JD ’78.
