Megan Dorsey is an attorney in private practice with the Rothstein Donatelli law firm, where she focuses on state and federal criminal defense and civil rights litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Megan worked as an attorney for the Law Office of the Public Defender for approximately seven years, where she litigated hundreds of cases with charges ranging from traffic misdemeanors to homicide, trafficking and white-collar crimes. In addition to engaging in trial work, Megan is dedicated to supporting the development of progressive and fair criminal justice policies within the State of New Mexico, and in furtherance of that goal, is General Counsel for the Speaker of the House of Representatives. In that capacity, she engages in policy and bill analysis, bill drafting, and procedural advisement on a variety of issues, specializing in public safety and criminal justice reform. Megan holds a J.D. from the University of New Mexico’s School of Law and a B.A. from Colorado College.
